Frequency converters also known as frequency changers are pieces of electronic or electromechanical equipments used to translate currents, pulses, frequencies and other waveforms into proportional electrical output. The voltage output corresponds accordingly to the fluctuations of input signal. They help to modulate frequencies to their limited output and are usually expressed in terms of volts (v), alternating current or volts direct.


The frequency converters are often employed in the electromechanical context. They evaluate the responsiveness of vehicle engines or safety components.
