With the development of the ACM20 for use in the field of Jet fuel and as a result of the World Wide Fuel Charter (WWFC) recognizing the need for and now includes a cleanliness code in accordance with ISO 4406, the use of particle counting is becoming more and more common.
As well as developing the ACM from the long established LCM, Parker’s Condition Monitoring Centre in Thetford, has been active in modifying their successful hydraulic iCount particle detector for use with fuel.
The icountPD is an ideal tool to provide accurate and repeatable
contamination data over a long period of time or larger volumes of fluid for example bulk fuel distribution, where millions of litre of fuel travels from a refinery along a pipeline and into a storage facility.
