Calorifiers are a container vessel which is designed to produce heat contained by a mass of stored water. How does a calorifier work? It is usually work by generation of heat supplied by indirect heat source by the used of heat tube battery or heat transfer coil.

Calorifier can be installed in open vented system which is supplied with cold water coming from container tank that provides head pressure for hot water system; and also unvented system with direct cold water system supply from main pressure.

In order to know what is the best Calorifier and suitable for wide range of specifications and requirements, here are some types of Calorifiers and its brief descriptions.
• Vertical Calorifiers – mounted on steel/copper ring stand or legs depending to the requirements
• Horizontal – has the ability to supply with support cradles
• Direct calorifiers - it is electrically heated by the used of immersion heater.
• Indirect – heated by heat pump, boiler or similar
• Buffer Vessels – provides excess storage for the primary or secondary water
• Marine Calorifier – used for unique humidity, corrosive affects, temperature differences, vibration and energy sources from marine environment.
• Steam Calorifier - it uses saturated steam as heating medium that creates domestic hot water.
• Solar Calorifiers – is one of the main component of solar thermal system, it is used to store the captured thermal energy from the collectors.

Calorifiers in Singapore are excellent in quality and it takes in consideration of many factors before constructing it. And for the user’s part, there are some features that are needed to be considering before purchasing.

Factors in choosing Calorifiers
• Low Primary Power Requirements – maintains the primary supply costs lesser than instantaneous systems.
• Economical Temperature Control – not complicated control system or panel in controlling the temperature.
• Reliability – robust and not easily distort by different corrosions.
• Space – compact and space savers which are not requiring a big space for installation.
• Heat Loss – reliable and effective insulation for lower heat loss and for more efficient boiler cycling.
• Cost – the cost must be reasonable and suitable for the budget.

Calorifiers are necessary in many manufacturing industries in Singapore and for easy and fast searching, just go to The Green Book, it offers various set of high quality calorifiers in Singapore that is applicable in many uses.
