1983

Spinelli Coffee Company originated in San Francisco in 1983 by founders , Christopher Calkins and Arnold Spinelli. They operated retail stores in San Francisco and Marin County as well a roasting plant. Spinelli Coffee Company supplied more than 20 blends and a variety of premium coffees to hotels, restaurants, cafes and food markets throughout San Francisco Bay Arena. IN a sophisticated market that places high value on brand names, Spinelli Coffee Company, though not the biggest , has been consistently rated as the best coffee retailer in San Francisco.

1996

In 1996, Spinelli Coffee Company ventured into a business expansion in Asia. Our first Singapore outlet was opened in February 1996, followed by a rapid and and strategic expansion in the business district and downtown shopping malls.

Today , Spinelli Coffee Company has successfully set up stores in Singapore, Jakarta, Indonesia as well as Beijing, China.

Spinelli’s roots are in the purveying, roasting, selection and serving of premium Arabica coffees. Our stores are an inviting combination of fine coffees and freshly baked goods set in simple yet colourful interiors.

Each site is designed to fit the feel of its location, giving a neighborhood sense of individuality to our stores.

Quality and freshness are the standards on which we create our success. Staff members are carefully trained in product knowledge and preparation methods. They provide friendly, knowledgeable, professional service; ensuring that our customers are served a fresh, full flavored cup of coffee each time they visit our stores or purchase our beans.

1998

In December 1998, our state of-the-art, Probat-fired roasting plant commenced operation. Only the highest-grade Arabica beans are sourced from throughout the coffee growing world and imported raw fro storage in our climate-controlled warehouse. These high-grown Arabica beans are batch roasted each week and delivered fresh to our stores and wholesale clienteles.

Supplying to a growing number of restaurants , clubs, office pantries as well as individual customers, Spinelli’s obsession with quality and emphasis on customer service has made us a popular choice. Complimentary coffee making equipment and condiments are also sold to simplify the coffee operations for our customers, and training and technical expertise offer professional support.
