About one century ago, Mr. Choo Cheong Chan left China and set foot in Singapore in search of better opportunities. He set up the first Kwong Cheong Thye in Jalan Sultan, manufacturing soya sauce for food suppliers. The business was dissolved after his demise, but was re-established when his grandson, Mr. Choo Sik Chum, came to Singapore.

As business picked up, Mr. Choo Sik Chum opened another factory at Changi Koh Sek Lim in 1960. In order to make room for further expansion, he shifted the administration and sales office to Lorong 27 in Geylang, which remains as the nerve centre for the business to date.

From the manufacturing of Light and dark Soya sauce, Kwong Cheong Thye has the expanded into the manufacturing and trading of other sauces such as Chilli Sauce, Hot Sweet & Sour Bean Paste , Hoi Sin Sauce, Sesame Oil , Oyster sauce < plum Sauce , Orange Sauce and much more. Some of their other products include Noodles, Mooncakes and “Yusheng” ( Raw Fish Salad ), which is a popular dish for Chinese families during the Lunar New Year period.

Kwong Cheong Thye has been continually innovating and improving. With rich tradition an dvast experience in food manufacturing b, Kwong Cheong Thye has successfully established itself as one if the leading sauce, noodlesw, mooncakes and pastry pastes manufacturers in Singapore. Its products are used by over 90% of the top hotels and restaurants in Singapore and widely distributed in more than 10 countries.
