BID Singapore was conceived by two key individuals Franck Berges and Gerry Yeo who have had a long working relationship with premium beers. Both Franck Berges and Gerry Yeo, are conferred honorary beer knights having been inducted into the Chevalerie du Fourquet des Brasseurs of the Belgian brewer´s guild. In 2005, BID started an office in Singapore to import premium Belgian ales such as Duvel, Maredsous, Chimay, Kwak and Tripel Karmeliet. BID entered the market at a time when specialty beers are gaining more following from sophisticated drinkers who enjoy and appreciate serious beers. Connoisseurs revere Belgian beers for their variety, real flavour and character. BID also introduced to Singapore the much acclaimed Australian premium lager, James Boag´s Premium and more recently, James Squire Ales, "America´s World-Class Beer" Samuel Adams and Warsteiner Premium, Germany´s widely recognized pilsner. Today, BID spans Australasia with a network covering Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and Singapore. BID now carries a wide range of premium packaged and draught beers that are fully imported to satisfy the insatiable palate of beer lovers.
